Type of Company – Consulting firm

My Role – I am one of their top people and get to make a lot of decisions as to what I want to work on and how I want to do it. Been at one client now for 1.5 years and really enjoy it.

Career Advancement – Always using latest and greatest technology so I am very marketable as you can see. As far as moving up in the company I have kind of hit the ceiling.

Work schedule – Never had to work over 40 hours a week, for most part enjoy my job. I have 3 weeks vacation and somewhat flexible hours on when I want to work.

Drive Time – Drive time to my client has been 20 minutes from home and I get to bill for driving there so I actually only have been working 38 hour weeks for last 1.5 years, my home office is 30 minutes away.

Salary – $62,000 with an annual bonus between $2,000 and $4,000 dollars. Typical raises for top performers are 2%

401k – Matching is at companies discretion, but since I have been there it has been around 2 or 3%. Unfortunately they don’t match with each paycheck they wait till the end of the calendar year to figure out match and then don’t deposit it for another 6 months so you have an 18 month lag on matching. I’ve been there for over 2 years and have not received a match yet.

Health insurance and Dental – is $170 per paycheck, with a $1000 deductible and 90 % coverage. Very likely to go up as we are a small company and last year it went up nearly 80%
