A couple of months ago it appeared that Chase was ditching the Cash Plus Rewards card that so many people in the PF community loved. This card offered 5% back on grocery & gas purchases and 1% back on everything else. Well I was really dissappointed when it appeared that Chase pulled the plug on this card (I think less than a year after they implemented it) because I bank at Chase and well I like to be able to access all of my accounts from one on web page and have on point of contact for my banking/credit cards.

Well a buddy of mine who I work with has a wife who is an upty up at Chase and it turns out that Chase is still offering the Cash Plus rewards card, but its only being offered by signing up in the a Chase branch office (you know this building things where people used to bank back in the 80s and 90s). I have not gone and verified this yet, but my buddy and his wife just went in and signed up for another Cash Plus Rewards card at the local branch.This is very good news because I have reached the $300 annual cap on my existing Cash Plus Rewards card and am looking to get a 2nd rewards card to maximize my reward money. I was just going to go with the Citi Platinum dividend card which has the exact same rewards program, but if I can keep it all with one company I will probably go ahead and do that.
