Retirement Nestegg Report January 2020
Well a flat and slightly down month for the market to kick of 2020 and my retirement nestegg had its best performance in history. It increased by over $105,000 and my investments crushed the market. Most of this can be explained away by the performance of Tesla stock over the last month, but a number of my other individual stocks have also had very nice performance. This has me starting out 2020 besting the market with over a 17% lead. Now granted as we have seen Tesla has and will continue to be a volatile stock so I won’t put to much weight in a single months performance but overall investments like Tesla over the long term have allowed me to have market beating returns over in my investing history. It’s also cool to have a month where my nestegg increased by a value that was greater than I was able to accumulate the first 30 years of my life.
