Grab Roundup and kill it in a surgical strike. Roundup is Durstban, a really evil chemical, but it sure beats coating the entire lawn with pesticides where you don't need them. There's actually a corn-based product you can spread on the soil to keep other weeds down. I tried it on my parents' lawn when they had a dandelion problem. Seemed to work for a while. If you do take a shovel to it, make sure you go deep to get the taproot. The reason most ppl don't get rid of dandelions is that they pull out the plant above ground and not the deep root the plant sinks a few inches into the dirt. Thanks for the correction on my post.
